our history

In 2010 our first solution, solving a rust removal issues, was implemented into the daily operations of Newcrest Mining to remove rust from iron steel, stainless steel and other aluminum alloys to preserve and protect—in an environmentally-safe way, making them safe for use.

Since then, Solvit has expanded our non-toxic solutions from mining to marine, government, healthcare, public safety and more.

  • 2021 - Solvit Sentry passed live COVID-19 strain testing by Bill Keevil at University of Southampton

  • 2023 - Solvit Sentry received SMI approval for disinfection in Boeing and Airbus aircraft

DR. SERGIO VITOMIR

Director of Product Engineering and Development

Dr. Vitomir is a Chemical Engineer and founder of Solvit Group. He leads engineering and development of all new solutions and reformulations. He also oversees manufacturing, testing and technical support.

Dr. Sergio Vitomir has developed products that have been used by some of the world’s biggest airlines and in the US Military. He has over 30 years’ experience developing products for Aviation (Qantas, Boeing, Azko Nobel, EADS/Airbus, SAAB, Eurocopter, Bombardier and the Australian Air Force), Propeller Coatings (Propspeed), Concrete (Protocol Solutions), Wood (Napier Industries) and Solvit Group (Specialty Chemicals for Marine, Mining and Construction).

He is a world expert in surfaces, coatings and their protection, and has over 30 patents to his name worldwide. When Sergio's not in his laboratory, you'll find him on his sailboat, Matilda.

Chairman

John Hilton has three decades of experience managing and advising Companies, Family Offices, and Corporate clients, capital raising and funds management. Outside of the office you'll find John on the tennis court or in the stands cheering on his daughter.

NEIL (NODDY) HOLDER

Founder

Neil is a founder of Solvit, passionate about solving Australian based business problems in an environmentally friendly way. He also just happens to be one of the best cricket coaches in the world and founder of Revolution Sports.

mEET OUR MANUFACTURING PARTNER

Founded in 1973, Challenge Chemicals has earned a reputation as a trailblazer in chemical manufacturing in Western Australia. The company is a 3rd generation Catallini family business and employs over 100 people lead by Martin Catallini—who happens to be a former Perth Wildcat, Adelaide 36'er and played for the Boomers.

Challenge Chemicals is a major supplier of asset and fleet maintenance chemicals to the Mining and Transport industries, as well as Hospitality, Laundry and Water Treatment.

Their manufacturing plant is situated in Kwinana Beach, and operates in synergy with Solvit Group to develop and manufacture "greener" products and custom solutions for leaders in Australian industry.
